Default 10-18 REPORT

Got the boat with no name out Saturday around noon. Seas were to be 4-5' so Emeraldcozy and I were just looking to troll the bay and see if we could get lucky with some kings and maybe hit the 3 mile bridge. Thinking the seas were gonna be bad we decided to take his grandson (Zack) and his friend ( Chirs) along.

Got in the water around 1pm and trolled over to Ft. Pickens. Around 2pm got our 1st line zingging. Turned out the PINK streach 30 that Marcus and I found 3 years ago got hung on something and we lost it. :banghead Hour and a half into the ordeal and we lost a lure and no fish, oh well lets open an adult beverage. :letsdrink

Put on a Tiger streach 25 and continued on. 20 minutes later the tiger goes off. Chris was the 1st up and pulled in a short King but legal non the less. It was great listening to him " I CAUGHT THAT FISH, I CAUGHT THAT FISH". He wasn't saying it as a FACT he was saying it as if asking a question. LOL!!!!!!! Needless to say he was happy.

Trolled on around pickens and noticed the seas were only 1'. Dicession was made to head out to the bouys and try to get Zack his fish. Trolled around the last set of bouys and no takers. Decided to head out and try for some snapper.

Went out about 8 miles and the seas built to 2'. Made it hard for the kids to fish but they gave it thier all and sea sickness was not gonna be an issue with these two young lads, they were having a ball. Chris of Zack, I can't remember which did pull up a keeper trigger but a King came up and just ate the fish. It could have been a cuda but looked like a king.

Zack did pull up another trigger but was short so we got a pix and let him go back down. The whole time we drifted so I was impressed with the lads being able to even tell when they got a bite. The GOM didn't produce no fish for us but all had a great time on the water and look foward to taking these two lads out again when the seas are a little more calm.

Came back in right at dark with only the king in the box but I got blood on the deck on the 1st fishing trip in my boat for the 1st time in 2 1/2 years. :angel:letsdrink

Emeraldcozy has the pixs.

Sweet Murph!!! Dont matter what you catch as long as you are finally getting out there. Hopefully I will get all the bugs out of mine one day and can go for a full trip with nice seas and nothing tearing up. :banghead

You know Sam, I'm gonna post every trip not matter how many fish are caught on the boat. Gonna try to get in two more trips before I head back out but not for sure with the truck acting up again. Pulling that boat puts a strain on the old truck. :banghead
