Alright so the weather man was a bit off, 7-10 mph wind my hind end. It was so rough I couldn't even work my lures. It was also thick with boats and kayaks. Oh well, next time.

I was out there this morning in a Sunrise colored OK Trident 13. Got around to it late cause my buddy slept in and left me hangin, only stayed for a few hours. The wind sure was a pain too. Didnt catch much but a couple under slot specs, a few lady fish and a croaker.

It was rough that's for sure. Another member from this forum on a boat recognized me out there and he said he got a couple keepers but nothing big. I suppose live bait was the way to go today but the conditions were pretty awful. Seems like a waste of a full moon to me. I got a couple bites from small trout but that was it, and I covered at least a mile and a half of water. I'll say this though, I think I'll leave the holiday weekend to the other folks.

If ya'll see tattoos and a beard on a camo colored yak out there hollar at me! I believe it's better to suffer with company I suppose lol.

Yeah man I was the one in the Jon boat that hollered at you. I first noticed your camera arm and thought what the heck is that?? Haha. Then when i realized what it was thats when i recognized you and your yak from your videos. Pitt - were you standing up in your yack the later part of the morning? Y'all are right about the wind and all the folks. I caught a keeper my first cast on a top water at about 0530, a 20 incher a few mins later on my popping cork rig - man i was fired up thinking it was gonna be one of those killer days. then nothing but small trout and about a dozen bluefish the rest of the morning. That first 30 mins or so made the whole day worth it though.
