How do you think the bayou is going to be from this possible tropical storm? Will it be too ruff to go out, dont want to spend an extra 200 bucks in gas pulling the boat down if i cant take it out.

Forcast so far is winds 5-10 from the north shifting south east saturday afternoon. Blazer65 if your planning a trip down this way watch the weather up untill you are ready to leave. The weather forcasters here tend to miss it alot. But then show me a forcaster that is right more than 50%.LOL I think there is a lot of places you can fish here and get out of the wind. Might have to tak a bumpy ride to get there but hey.....how bad do you want to fish.Me ill be in the bay. Gonna try for my first trout. Most likely gonna stay near sherman cove around the grass flats.

Leaving tommorrow afternoon from chicago. Going to be fishing chactowee bay... sorry for the miss spell... i know a few good places for reds in the bay. But What i heard if the wings go over 20 in the bay. Its never really rough. I got a boat thats made for Lake Mich up here that can float in 2 foot of water. It can breaks ways while being a stealth monster. We will see how she produces over the next week and a half down their.

I don't know about the bay over there but Pensacola can get really nasty. I've been in a yak and a boat when it got up to three footers. It isn't fish able or enjoyable. Watch the weather and stay safe!
