Default Wading Big Lagoon and Big Sabine

I've been hitting the surf this year and I'm wanting to get into the specks and reds this summer. Use to fish these area when I was very young so I have forgotten most of what we did and what we used. Are the fish showing up in these areas yet? What should I be throwing? Time of day? Any advice is much appreciated.

I don't fish inshore but if I were you, stop in at Sam's Bait and Tackle on Canal Dr. Talk to Chris.

Fishing shallow enough to wade, during the middle of summer you'll do best early and late in the day.
