Default Triple Tails?

Looking to try something different. Anybody out there targeting Triple Tails in Spring/Summer months?

I always stop and look around when I see something floating in the gulf. I usually try a shrimp first if ive got one, but I've caught them on pinfish and squid. I'm sure they'd hit artificials too. Sometimes I've tried eveything in the book and they just don't eat.. I'd also like to know a good way of going out looking for them though, if anyone does that?

I have been reading up on them and I plan to try 'stalking' them this spring. The meat is great and you don't have to spend big $ to get to them. It should be a worthy challenge and a whole lotta fun! Just something different than the flatty/spec/red routine. I have seen them way offshore and right up on the TMB. i just never thought to go after 'em! See ya o
n the water!

saw a show on the fishing channel (direct tv ) a few months ago about a guy who targeted them in the mobile bay and caught quite a lot of them. I caught on 3 years ago on a weedline that went 19+ lbs. I think the record for Fl. is like 28 pounds
