Default Tarpon

Pulling the boat down to Tampa next month for a tarpon trip, planning to fish the skyway bridge area. Trying to gather as much tactic info as I can, I know about a good outgoing tide, live blue crab, thread fin, heavy leader ect. but that's about it. My boat does not have a bottom machine or trolling motor. any advice is much appreciated! thanks again

Don't overlook the flats adjacent to the bridge as well as the beach area around Ft Desoto.

I'm from down there... excellent fishery. Egmont Key is another spot they stack up from time to time. Good luck!
