I'm rather curious about these radical phenotypes, and see most of the elaborate patterns(full-body, half-body, top-body) being called spec-red hybrids online??? Most I have ever landed have been sparsely scattered(non-uniform) from the full-body back. Caught or gill-netted from..(eastern-shore, weeks bay, oyster bay and south)

Hybrid? Yeah, from what i have been told they are hybrids. But they are the result of farm raised and wild reds breeding. This may not be the case, but its what i have been told by well known fishermen/shop owners.

I caught one a couple of years ago with 80 spots. Looked like a speck.
