Default Sound tide question

got a question about the tide in the sound. I fish out of Hurlburt and notice on an outgoing tide the current is moving west. I figured it would move east being closer to destin pass than pcola. But looking at a map there is far greater water towards the west so it makes sense. However, where is the "divide"so to speak with tide flowing towards destin and towards pcola in the sound?

Are you sure about that? I always thought the break point was about Navarre. If not, I guess it is right around Hurlburt. I can tell you that over to the west, the break point is right between Inerrarity and Bear Points, which is a long way from P'cola pass but very close to perdido pass. Shows you how much difference a big deep pass makes.

Yea im pretty sure. I doubted myself too at first. Looking at a map the sound gets wider going west, so there's far more moving water that way.

I figure the break has got to be close to Hurlburt as well maybe just east of it.
