Default Sound Fishing

I moved here 5 years ago from Ohio and still learning how to fish the area. I live just east of Tiger Point and do most of my inshore fishing wading in the sound (no boat). My question, is it too cold for reds or specs to be in the sound? I have some waders, would I be wasting my time? If there are fish there right now what lures would work best? Thanks in advance!

If you can find the bait, then you will find the fish! No it is not a waste of time.

Grew up on the Sound and contrary to popular belief, the bite never falls off. It just changes depth. Never a waste of time.

Googled "Winter trout and redfish tactics" and this is one of the many articles.

I live in Navarre just a block from the sound, but I have not tried fishing for a few weeks now. Too cold for my bones! I am looking forward to hearing some good enough sound fishing reports that I just have to get back out there!
Thanks for the links Tanaka.

Canals are good winter spots.
