Default Skeet Reese reel question

Thinking about getting a used Skeet Reese victory 3000. Aren't Skeet Reese reels generally made for freshwater? The seller is saying it is a saltwater reel. Also anyone ever used one and if so, is it any good? Estimated value of a used one in good condition?

Zero value. IMO, they are cheap and you can feel the gears grind in them. Skeet Reese must have special mods done to his. I bought one of his rods and it was junk, so I gave it to the Goodwill. Good luck. YMMV.

Yeah, I've heard that these reels sound and feel like crap when casting. It's been said it sounds like the gears are grinding. I wouldn't do it.
