8 billion catfish where I go, rays whenever I can get one so the catfish wont bother it. Bought frozen bonito is mushy and gets picked apart to the bone by everything before a shark gets to it, don't know if fresh would be any different. Blues bleed a lot and are oily to let the smell out. I catch blues, hook em, get ready, and then slice em up a bit so less blood is wasted on the ground and more will be spurted out while they are trashing around dying. Don't know if that actually helps, but it is my technique

My biggest one, an 8.5' to the fork hammer head was caught on a 22" speck carcus hooked through the head.
