Default red bull

can any one tell me what a fat 40" redbull would weight? i got him at 3 mile bridge on gulf brezz side it was my frist red bull talking about smiling from ear to ear all day

I'd say he's somewhere in the 18-20 lb. range. Congrats on your first bull.

Length X Girth squared divided by 800 will give you a good estimate for most fish.

I caught a 41" by three mile and she was 23lbs. She was more slender than you fish.

Nice catch man, way to go!!! Yeah, bulls reds between 40-45inches are usually 20-25lbs. What kind of gear did you get him on, light tackle?

nope didnt have light tackle . after having my lines breaking and spooled out 100 + times i halled my butt to gulf brezz tackle shop the owner i think it was hooked me up good with a new tekota 600 reel spooled it with 300 yards of 50lbs power pro and top shot it with 50lbs mono that fish didnt stand a chance with that reel but that 7.6 rod i had it on feel like it was going to break so i got a 9ft one today just going to use that set up to red bull fish and hope i catch a big black drum too

Ive caught a 40red inch that weighed 25 pounds but he was a slob so It is probably around there maybe a little less.

this one was fat and put up a really good fight. so i guess i could tell every one i got a 40" 20lbs bull
