Doalot of pompano comeinpcola bay, how far do they run in? I know some may stragle in but are they plentyful anywhere. If you have any advice, please post. I have a small skiff and would like to find some. Very few days can I get out of the pass but sometimes can run into the mouth so wondering if I can get any from in the bay side of the pass.

Thanks for any help!

It's pretty hard to target them in the bay. Lately a bunch have been caught around Pensacola Pass, but it'll be short lived. Sometimes you'll find them on a flat here and there, but can't really go looking for them.

I also have a small skiff, what we do for pompano is run over to fort mcray in that little bay area where sand island is, beach the boat, grab all the equipment and walk over to the surf side of the island which is past the jetties and on the other side. and we just rake up some fleas and throw them out into the surf. I find pompano fishing from a boat very hard to do.
