Default Places to fish

We will be arriving in Pensacola the first week in June and will be staying at the Navy Lodge. I will be trailoring a 17' boat with deep gunnels and would like to know places close to Sheman Cove to fish and what is the best bait ect. for which species. Any help will be greately appreciated, I am a fairly experienced mariner in fresh water and will have the assistance of a gps with blue chart.

I'm coming down 7-21 for a week and would love to know the same thing, I will put in at the ramp off the northside of the base , fence road???? I went with a guide last year and we fished the barrier islands flats in the bay, is that still a good pattern late in July? Also about 5 years ago I was down and fished the bridge up in perdido bay and did well on trout is there a ramp near by there?
