Hello all, New to the forum, been learning all sorts of useful information. The family and I are coming down from Denver and staying in a house on the AL side of Perdido Bay starting 09/15-09/23. We will be fishing all sorts of fishing w/ a friend of mine who does a lot of surf fishing and inshore, mainly w/ lures and top water, so he knows of some spots we normally try, our last time down was 10/2013, but sometimes we will be on our own. Our house has a nice pier of the back, However we will have access to some kayaks(not fishing pedalers) but something to work with. I'm not above trying any technique, Live bait, lures anything. I just want to give me and the family the best chance to get some bites. Alabama and Florida licenses. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advanced. I will post our success and pitfalls of our trip as we go. Hers is a few shots from last time down.

Depending how close you are to the Lillian Bridge that goes across the bay you may want to try that area for white and speckle trout. I here it is a good producer. I have yet to try it though.
