Default Pensacola Pass Fishing Advice Needed

I'm heading out to the pass Friday morning. Is the best launch Navy Point?? Or is there a easier route from Pensacola or Perdido Key?? Also, what is a good target fish now, Sheep heads, Spanish, Reds etc..????
I haven't owned a boat in several years and would appreciate some advice from the pros on this site.
Thanks for any help...

good place to put in is at big lagoon state park... the only downside is that they do charge you per persona or per axle... because of that i dont go their anymore because i cant afford their year pass... now i put in at galvez landing which is only like 300 yds from big lagoons docks by boat... either one of those work well.... as far as fishing the pass... if your going to fish the pass i'd drop live bait or even cut squid to the bottom about 60 yds off of fort pickens point on an outgoing tide... i always catch some slot and over slot red's that are nice

Navy Point is as good of a place to launch as any if you're heading to Pensacola Pass. Right now there are sheepshead on the jetties and deepwater structure, catch them using live shrimp or fiddler crabs. You might also run accross some Spanish mackerel in the bay and they can be caught with Gotcha Lures.
