Default Pensacola Bay fishing

Hey there folks. My brother and I pulling my boat from Texas to Florida from aug. 10-17. Ive been reading up on the bay systems around Pensacola and I must say im excited to possible catch snapper and grouper in the bay. If anyone has any advice or would like to show me some spots gas and bait are on me. Shoot me a message and we can get something worked out.

Me and my buddy go out in the bay right under the 3 mile bridge. We use chunks of mullet. You can catch a load of reds, bull reds, and some sharks. One day we pulled up a toad 25 inch red snapper. I hear that they are out there but we haven't got any groupers yet. I'm sure they're out there though. Just go over to Joe Patties fish market and pick you up a few mullets and cut em up. Just anchor up just a little away from the bridge and throw your line right under the bridge. FYI we had some problems with the fish having teeth and cutting our braid. Use a 25-30 pound 7 strand wire leader and a 1-2 oz pyramid weight with a circle hook. To get out there just drop off at the ramp by the graffiti bridge. Just remember to stay 100 feet from the fishing pier cause they get pissed when you don't. Haha. Have fun and stay safe while you do so. Good luck.

I will have to keep that info in mind the next time in pcola. I usually like to run live baits such as shrimp or shad on a poppin cork.
