Default Okaloosa area help

Hey guys, Iím headed down to Okaloosa Island next week and wondering if there are any grass flats or wadable spots in the area that have public fishing access. Iíve got an 8wt so I plan on fly fishing and throwing clousers to target really anything I can catch (reds, specks, flounder, ladyfish). Should I target the front beach or stick to the Santa Rosa sound? Is wading and fly fishing a waste of time this time of year? Iím not familiar with the area so any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can wade out by the Destin Bridge, between the bridge and the coast guard station. There are some nice reds cruising through there. Good luck and enjoy your trip.

Google the area. There are some nice grass flats on the north side of the island. There is a park entrance and plenty of wade fishing. Early the Trout and Redfish bite will be best and water is really clear for sight fishing. Good Luck...

Thanks for the responses! Hopefully I'll be able to report back with some success.
