Default No boat, but want to find a speck spot. Any tips?

PFFers...live in Navarre but I don't have a boat. I'm reading that grass beds are "the spot" for specks. Without a boat and (preferably) without sneaking into somebody's dock, is there an area you recommend in the Navarre/GB area?

I've been bottom fishing in the sound by the Navarre bridge but seem to get nothing but cats.

Thanks in advance,
Brian

The "Forest" in Gulf Breeze will give you access to wade fishing the grass flats on the North side of the ICW / Sound

Sorry, just saw you are in GB/Navarre area.

If you dont mind fighting off the occasional shark wade fishing, the grass flats off Johnson Beach are always good.

Brian, if you go west from the boat dock at Juana's, there are some dock lights on the south side probably 200 yards from the dock that produced specks fer me last time I was out there....

Thanks guys.

Been around that Juana's area a lot but never noticed dock lights. I know where the boat launch is at. Would the lights be parallel to the shore line, like along that jogging path?

It's actually the dock to the 1st condos to the west of Juana's on the sound side. The water is only about 4 ft, so ifin you are average height, you could wade out to them....
