Default New rod

Im about to get a new rod and reel for some inshore fishing, but not looking to spend very much. Don't need anything too elaborate, but anyone have any suggestions?

What is your budget? Some people don't consider a rod and reel decent unless they have 1000 dollars tied up in it. Others are happy to go to walmart and spend 25 dollars. Myself, I like quality tools whether I am fishing or working. One of my favorite combos is a custom medium action with a Daiwa Steez 2500. I am also very fond of the Shimano teramar series of rods. These will run just a tad over $100. As far as reels I like the Shimano stradics and sahara. I would say buy the best you can afford and it will last quite sometime if you take care of it.

I actually just got one earlier today. I got a 6'6" tournament challenge for like 10 dollars and a 30 dollar shimano reel. Put some braid on it and it casts and reels just fine. Thanks for your help tho, I will definitely be revisiting this if i buy another.
