Default Inshore questions/help

When I fish inshore I usually aim for specks or reds. I keep my boat in bayou Chico so when I head out I either choose east and go to the south side of gulf breeze or big Sabine grass flats. If I head west I go to trout point, no motor zone area. Is there anywhere else I can head that provides good fishing. I have tried east bay and escambia river area but always come back empty handed. If anyone is willing to give me vague areas I would appreciate it. I always use gulp, live shrimp, or top water. I sometimes free line shrimp but also use popping corks. As I can only head out wheny schedule allows i can't always go at "peak" times. I use tides4fishing to help determine good times that i am able to go.

Basically from the air it seems like anywhere on water would be good fishing but I have only had luck at the places I listed above. What do I need to do better.

Thanks guys

Try the rocks around butcher pen cove around towards dead mans Island and Peak's point for specks and red fish seen plenty while mullet fishing over the past few weeks

If you just want to get something on the hook I suggest hitting 3mb. On the gulf breeze side about halfway down just ride around parallel to the bridge (on the same side as the fishing bridge) about 50ft away and you'll eventually run up on some fish. A good fish finder will help you narrow it down some. The white trout are almost always out there and will eat cut bait, dead shrimp, or gulp copper penny shrimp fished on bottom. There's also a chance of reds, flounder, sharks, jack crevalle, and rarely, tarpon if you put a pinfish or grunt out on a balloon.
