Default Inshore Jigging

Curious if anyone uses diamond/butterfly jigs (50-120ish) to fish the bay/nearshore wrecks for snapper and grouper? I used to fish for striped bass with them back home in nj and it seems like it would be a good change of pace here. Is it an effective technique and if so do you use and tubes or strip bait as a trailer? Any opinions are welcome. Thanks.

Give it a shot and see what happens. I've caught AJs and Snapper on Cobia jigs and caught Cobia on squid tail jigs jigging for Snapper. So you never know what will hit them.
