I need to come out with you some time. I don't catch fish big enough to break hooks

I've had stock hooks straightened and broken on ne in BW and EB. Some on the better known lures. I replace all stock hooks with 3 and 4 X stronger hooks.

In my opinion, Owner are better hooks but higher price. I use Gamakatsu, Owner and VMC with generally good results. For 10/0 I use Mustad.

The gamakatsus are your problem. I used to love the Gamakatsus until i started breaking them on tiny Ajs. Try owners or mustad
