Default Help

Any advice on where to go for good wade fishing? Ive tried Navel Live Oaks and Grand Lagoon with no luck. Ive always fished with freinds but have never been real serious about it. My kids are finally old enough to go with me (7,3) and they have enjoyed it so much that it has made me want to learn all I can. So any advice is welcome I would like to get the oldest one onto a redfish or maybe a speck. Thanks in advance

Keep pounding Naval Live Oaks, the fish are there, believe me! I think you should be there before daylight, topwater or gulp baits.

Naval Live Oaks holds fish.

Start off with the basic live shrimp under a popping cork. Work on artificials once you learn how the fish act a little better.

Take a Cajun Thunder popping cork and tie 18" of 15# flurocarbon to a #1-1/0 circle hook and pin a live shrimp through the tail. Remember to be stealthy. These fish spook easily.

I tried to get out there early and got a 75 dollar ticket for my efforts(apparently you cant be in the paking lot before 800). But overall it was alot of fun even if we didnt catch anything
