Where in Ft. Morgan? and are you wade fishing or on a boat?

Navy Cove is a good spot if you want to get out there very early and fish the top water bite... with the wind blowing pretty stiff from the west though it might be pretty chopped up in there... I've caught some flounder and trout in 3 rivers... it's very shallow in there though so you'll have to fish it before the sun gets up and heats the water in there... also there is a oyster reef out in front of the beach club over there too... just watch the wind and those might be your best bet... also there is a sunk barge near the mouth of the bay just on the north side of the peninsula marked off by signs.. this is also a good area... during the day once it warms up I would head out to dixie bar and look for some cuts (may have to use the depth finder with the muddy water ) and fish there if the seas allow..

good luck! those Fort Morgan fish can be funny sometimes

thankyou for the helpful tips!..i know the wind is not looking the best this weekend, but still gonna give it a shot. I saw that high tide is at 1120am for ft.morgan on Friday and with the creeks being shallow, is it possible to get up in with a flats boat early am as tide is rising or better to fish that area on an outgoing tide? suxs that high tide isn't earlier in the am..i know the oyster reef you speak of and saw there's a public boat ramp near there...is that an ok place to launch or would it be better to just launch at navy cove and run over?

The only place I've ever launched there is down by the ferry dock... so I don't really have any advise for you there...

I'm assuming you have a 15' hewes redfisher by your name, and it should have no problem getting into the cuts and creeks with it... I've been in the big cut at 3 rivers in a 22 triton when the tide was falling out... I had to trim the jack plate up and maneuver out of there, but it's doable.. with the tide rising you'll be fine
