Default Flounder question

I know a lot of you guys gig for flounder. I'd like to try and catch some on a rod. My question is this: Is now a good time to try to catch them near or around the pass? Thanx for any tips.............

The pass is a great place to catch flounder this time of year. The north rocks in the pass seem to be more productive and there is also less current. Its basically the drop off to the north east of the green bouy in the middle of the pass. 2-3 ounces is the most youll need.
