Default Fiddler Question

Where do you guys usually hook your fiddler crabs? Last time I got them when i hooked them they'd die. Where do i put it so they're still kicking?

Thanks

Default I will try to do better than "a"s non-answer

Just like fishing a blue crab, fiddlers should be hooked in the side of the shell. I try to hook them thru the back and out a leg hole. They seem to kick for a bit this way.

But remember these are air breathing critters not like blue crabs. They will drown after a few minutes.

If they are lasting more than 10 minutes you are in the wrong place!!

Also you may want to try hooking two or three at a time on the hook if you are after mondo sheeps or reds.

This is not a scientific verified fact, only the experience of an old fart.
