Default Fall reds

I got my grandfather coming in town last weekend in October and want to get him on reds.
I have access to boats from Eglin and Hurlburt but from what I gathered the bulk of the run is in pcola bay. The marina at NAS there has a dumb rule that you have to have 10hrs in a pontoon before you can't rent a skiff or cc from them.

So my options are to fish from a pontoon in pcola or fish around the pass, brooks bridge and midway bridge in destin.
What's my best shot at getting him on some pumpkins? Will the pontoon work?

Anybody in pcola willing to take two experienced guys on the nascar race in October?

Thanks for your help

Nothing?!

Maybe I should start some drama about docks or matrix shad.

I've never fished it, but I know folks that kill the reds at the Destin Bridge (98 bridge). In addition, you can sight fish bull reds on some of the shallow flats just inside and just outside of the Destin Pass.

I would fish the mid-bay bridge. There are plenty of bulls there and plenty of other fish. The boat traffic will be much better also than Destin or Shalimar bridge. And sight fishing is good from the bridge down White Point. Choctawhatchee bay can be a beast to cross if conditions are not good but a pontoon should have no problem if you take it slow.
