Default Emerald Coast Bays / Flats

I'm in the Marine Corps and somewhat new to the area. Freshwater fishing is what I grew up on and so this saltwater deal is pretty new to me. Obviously I want to catch any and everything I can possible around here, problem is I don't have a boat which isn't a big deal. The real problem is I don't really have a real good idea of where to start, I have fished the flats around Eglin AFB and had little luck, but I'm looking for other places with maybe some promising turnouts. Like I said before I'm new to the area and new to this saltwater business so any and all input is appreciated, Thanks.

Head down to a local bait and tackle store and they will point you in the right direction!
