RE: East bay/Garcon
Just to the east of the Garcon point bridge, their are a couple of slews, bayous whatever you want to call them. This is on the north side of the bay. stay out a way from the mouth of them and try live pinfish, finger mullet, berkley gulp etc. under a float and have done well with reds, specs, and white trout. I also have picked up nice flounder there and around the bridge pilings putting a finger mullet, or bull minnow on the bottom. I seem to catch more by hooking through the eyes and bumping back to the boat or shore if wading, than hooking through the tail and free swimming. Lots of nice blue crabs around the bayous so take a crab net pull up on the beach and pick nick and let the wife and kids have some fun and get a bonus crab boil out of the day. Its all about family and fun RIGHT.
