Default Comin Friday !!!!!!!!

Hey guys,

I'm from Hattiesburg MS and I've been reading yalls forum for some time now and I finally get to come to fish your area. My younger brother lives in Pensacola now and is going to school there. He is an Iraq war veteran and had to discharge due to injuries sustained in Iraq. (lost leg) Anyhow I am proud of him and am coming to stay the night Thursday night. We plan on fishing till we can't cast again friday. I have a 17ft Century with a 90 4-stroke. It has a decient V and can handle 3footers if it has too. We plan on taking our best shot at the Bay baised on old topics found here. We may also try to hit any reef within 7 or 8 miles so long as the wind aint bad. We like eatin' fish so the target is, Snapper, Grouper, Ling (if we're lucky) Trout and reds. Not to big on the mackreal and blues. We would be much appreaciative of any tips or suggestions for our trip. I fish Mississippi and somtimes louisiana so we're accustomed to casting plastics (mainly Gulp lately) and free lining live bait. I have a large cast net if you thing that helps. We will post a report to show how your old topics and suggestions have paid off for us. Hopefully it will be huge. :thum bup:

Thanks,
Gary

I will be out Friday also. Mostly working out more bugs on the boat and seeing what else I have to fix but I will get a line in the water.

Seas as of now doesn't look good heading out the pass. Maybe that will change though. Be carefull. I will be in a red/white 250 Sportsman flying the GCFC flag once PFF doesn't have one.

How about a meet up spot?

Same as above, tell your brother thanks for everything he has done for this country. Would really like to meet him and shake his hand.

Oh yea, don't knock the spanish and kings. Spanish are great if you eat them within 3 days (not a good fish to freeze, like trout) and King balls are pretty darn good. (These are the tenderloins of the fish)

Thanks for all the comments and ideas guys. My little brother has been talking to someone in yalls neck of the woods and we may have a few diecent leads. If anyone wants to meet up on the water just give us a call. my number is 601-812-9129. We will be out from daylight ot dark friday. I figure we'll hit the shallows early and then go deep once the sun ball gets up.

you could fish the 3 mile bridge thursday night and catch hundreds of white trout and maybe some reds on gulps, then go offshore friday for the opening of snapper season
