Default cobia fishing

May i ask what your set ups are fishing for the big ones? Ever time i hook one my hook gets bent are the leander gets broken. I guess a 30lb leander is to small for them where could i get some stronger ones at. Our walmart out here in pace dont sell anything bigger then 30lbs

If you aren't right up against underwater structure loosen that drag, otherwise sounds like you need to upgrade the tackle.

Go with 60 or 80 floor, use 4x hooks I use gamma's but owner and mustad work too. My experience is they eat or ignore, not sure it much to do with the size of the leader. Lighten up on the drag. I used to fish LA platforms a bunch and you had to get them out of the rig, but if you are fishing wrecks, structure and turtles doesn't matter so much.

Good luck
