Default bubba blade

Anyone ever used one? Thinking about getting a 9" tapered flex but I don't want to spend that much if it's not worth it. Thanks in advance

You will here good and bad from everyone on here. I for one have 4 of them and love them. Are they worth what they cost, I don't know but I'm satisfied with mine.

Buy a Dexter. You will be much happier.

Again, it's what the pros use. Go to any sportfishing or charter dock and look at what they are using. Most of the time, it won't be a Bubba Blade.

How much fish are you cleaning? Best money spent is to buy a good diamond dust stone and any blade that feels comfortable. Keep it sharp and clean fish. You can sharpen a butter knife if you know what your doing.

I have one. Could review it but wont.

Honestly, every knife I have is a good knife. The reason I say this is because I know how to keep them razor sharp. People who poo poo knives are people that expect knives to stay sharp for eons. That just wont ever happen. EVER. You either get a soft blade that sharpens quickly, or a hard blade that takes forever to sharpen and holds an edge a little longer. Diamond is your friend.

I will say this about the Bubba, the handle IS nice. I would by another for that feature alone.

But when the day is over and you are left holding a Bubba or 4 Dexter's for the same price (if you got them at an Outcast sale) i would pick the Dexter's.

Hope that helped a little.

Bubba is ONLY popular because of the advertising, it is meant to catch fishermen. Buy a couple Dexters and a knife sharpener and keep them for years. Take care of your knives and they will last a long long time. Bubba blade is a marketing ploy.
