Question Bob Sykes question??

Went to Bob Sykes this weekend with a family friend and not much action was going down. Got there around 8:30 and left around noon.
Did I miss the ideal time, was I too far down the pier (kinda near the middle)??
Any help is appreciated.

The only fish I saw landed were two small spanish.

Not trying to make this post run on forever, but is night fishing there good, if not where is a good spot??

In my limited experience on Sykes I've noticed two things. Outgoing tides are best and if there is no bait your only chance for action is an occasional flounder or some passing reds. As far as position again follow the bait I've seen it thick with Spanish the first 50 yds and nothing in the middle and the next day just the opposite.
