Thumbs up Blackwater tomorrow

Well I finally got my new diy casting deck put together. The boat hasn't been out in a year, either, so it's about time. So sometime this afternoon I'm going to hit up blackwater. Not sure where yet, maybe launch at oyster pile or may start further up river. Either way, hope everything goes smoothly and maybe even get something into the boat for dinner.

Good luck... I fished a number of spots on BW Tuesday - 0515hrs -from just north of Robinson Point to just south of the Oyster Pile ramp. VERY SLOW day but did manage a 24" Red for dinner. I caught it just south of OP...

Thanks. I did manage to get out this afternoon, launched at marquis basin, terrible idea, dozens of kids and adults splashing around on the boat launch. Most were smart enough to get out of the way, but the people everywhere in the water made it a little nerve wracking.

We only stayed out about an hour, ran to oyster pile and back, tested everything out, motor is running good, trolling motor is ok. Casting deck is nice and stable. The boat is only 4ft wide so it rocks easily but it's not too tippy and the platform was a lot more comfortable than standing in the curved bottom at the bow.

I'm still trying to get comfortable with the boat and boating in general so it's going to be slow going till I get it all figured out.

Oh yea, fishing?

So that's where I dropped that red. Deagle, I can't thank you enough for finding my fish for me. When can I expect it's return?
