Default Blackwater bay

I accidentally posted this in the wrong section to begin with...

Does anyone know of any good spots in blackwater bay to catch fish 90% of the time. Im not looking for numbers just want to take my son fishing and him catch a good bit of fish. They don't have to be keepers or any good eating fish.. I know a lot spots in escambia bay but I haven't fully tested my boat out and if I break down I have a few friends that live on backwater bay that can tow me in. Thanks

Fish near oyster pile boat ramp and the tidal creeks along the main river.

Try around the bridges (any of them), especially when there is current flow.

Find some docks and fish around there.

Catfish Basin and the marshes around the yellow river entrance.

Garcon Point is another spot.

All of the usual lures work too - top water, suspending baits, and soft plastics. I've had good luck with darker colors.

Bought a house with a dock on Blackwater Bay a couple of weeks ago, and will be learning the fishing out my back door this summer. This afternoon I plan to catch the falling tide and fish the mouth of the Yellow River. The bay is muddy, but water coming out of the a Yellow seemed much clearer yesterday afternoon. Hoping for some luck with a Vudu shrimp under a popping cork.

Send me a pm. Maybe we can learn the fishing on Blackwater Bay together. I caught my first redfish here Sunday south of Weaver River, and a couple more as well. All were too small to keep, but I had fun and was glad to have a little success despite the muddy water.
