Default Big Lagoon Park Ramp

Thinking of getting the season pass, it's a longer run out there for a drive, but I'm thinking it gets me quick access to Big Lagoon without having to go through the Bay if it's rough, and also quickly over to Ono and more docks. How's the ramp there, that sound like a feasible plan to you Inshore guys that know the area?

It was in fine shape the last time I was there... And the park fee kinda thins out the crowd. Gálvez landing, a short drive away, is a free public ramp- but might get a little crowded on the weekends!

Default Park ramp

I seem to remember the park ramp has hours of operation and no overnight parking. Check time of operation.

The normal hours of operation are 8:00AM until sunset (campers excluded). But you can still exit the park after dark if you are running behind. Check with the park rangers.

Call (850) 492-1595 with any questions you may have.

OK, here's the deal. If you buy the annual pass, you get the gate code with it. You can exit any time without the code, but you need it to get in before the park opens. If you have the annual pass, you can fish all night, you just leave your paperwork on the dash. In addition, if you are a disabled vet like me, big bonus! You get a lifetime annual pass free, and not the individual, but the family pass. How cool is that?

Also, the ramp is OK, and the dock is in very good shape, but the ramp isn't presently usable as a double ramp. The east side is silted in pretty good and your trailer will tilt badly if you try to use that side. It's great as a single lane ramp. Have to say, the tide last night at about 1015 was SCREAMING by at that ramp. Made loading very interesting.

UncleMilty7 pretty well hit on the head. Adding one thing, if you buy the annual pass, you can you use it at any state park in Florida. I certainly get my money's worth with it.
