Default advice for perdido

Hey folks, great forum yall have here...I'm making a down there in two weeks to camp at Johnson Beach, then renting a condo on Perdido Bay. Have been camping Johnson Beach for 3 years in a row now and it's always fun, but we never catch as many fish as we'd like. And I've never fished Perdido Bay. Im from coastal MS and know how to fish inshore (specks reds flounder), and we will have kayaks (no boat)...just looking for any tips from the locals on how to find the fish...cruise grass flats til we come across some? chase diving birds? Fish docks or other structure? What about dock lights at night? Below is the specific area of our condo...any help is much appreciated!

1. Go to beach

2. Find other kayakers

3. Introduce yourself

4. ????

5. Profit

Seriously. If you have a kayak around here, they pretty much accept you as family. Most will help a new guy out because there is no greater feeling than putting someone else on fish. The only thing I wouldn't do is mark their spots if you are bottom bumping. Poke around on the kayak forum to see what's biting and what to bring. A lot to do this time of year.

The yak section on here is very popular. Lots of guys on here have the same hobby as you, and most would be willing to show another fellow Yaker some tricks of the trade.
Great time of year to be on the water. Water temp is going nothing but up from this point on. The lights on piers is a yes. Just have a light on your yak.
You should easily be able to find a group heading out. You just have to let them know your ready to go fishing.
