I've googled and see several confusing models, NOAA's among them.
Any recommended sites for Gulf Coast surge models / predictions?
Prefer those accurate from past events.
Thanks!

Weather Channel says to prepare for 15 - 20 foot storm surge with Category 5 force winds. Says it's going to be the worst storm in US history and to prepare now.
LOL.

The next 48 hrs will tell the tale. There is a High of disturbance that is in the eastern Gulf that will determine what this storm does. Could go either way.

I had thought of a little shark fishing from the beach trip tonight. Anybody know the grass situation?

Just go down there and if no grass and jellyfish hit you in the face it's good to go.
