Nate is now officially a Cat1 Hurricane, and because it strengthened so quickly there is a chance of it becoming a Cat2 by landfall in the US.

Sunday morning Nate should be almost right atop us here in Mobile.
I'll be happy if one of my oaks doesn't fall on the house, that's all I ask.

My youngest boy is thrilled and excited, this will be his 1st hurricane, it shares his name and it is coming to visit him up close and personal.
LOL... Ignorance is bliss.

Nate just keeps getting stronger and moving faster.

I'm lucky to be on high ground with zero chance of flooding, but it does allow the wind to get to us.
The only way for me to get wet is to lose the roof to wind or have a tree fall on us.

Too many others are looking at storm surge combined with a high tide, not good.
Y'all be careful out there tonight.

Power just went out about half an hour ago, USB tethered to my phone and this is my last post till I fire the generator in the morning.

Waves breaking over the Octagon of the Gulf State Park Pier in Gulf Shores AL.
The tops of the light poles are normally 45' and the railings are 25' above the water.

Well, other than 10.5 hours without power and some large branches down, we're good to go.
