Default Hurricane.. How far north?

Okay all you hurricane experienced people, how much hurricane will we get in Jay if one hits the Pensacola area? I know we will not have the flooding but should we expect to be without power and water? Wind damage? How far north does the major damage usually extend?

A major storm will give you just about everything the coast will get minus the storm surge. A storm that big 30-40 miles ain't nothing.

I lived in Brewton during Ivan, 8 days no power, trees down everywhere. I would definitely keep the generator working good.

Inland you should be worried about tornadoes caused by the storm too.
