So I see most of the tracks are headed to La/Miss. area now but the one model seems to track it close to between mobile and us. Any bets on where it is going to go? I would not want to be in Wavelane/Pearlington Miss. area based on what i am seeing.

Won't know till it happens.....I noticed that its ground speed dropped...which means it will get stronger for longer....and more unpredictable.

That's the UKMETS model and it is usually pretty accurate. I see a low pushing from the west that may keep it going on the UKMETS path. Its all a matter of chance. If A,B,C, happens then D will follow suit. But if C goes before A then D may not happen at all. Its weather guessing at its finest!

jim t i def agree with that. I love watching them and they are almost as good as watching a good race on TV. A lot of suspense. And don't get me wrong, the models DO save lives. I just know it is a guessing game to a degree.

If you like watching a race on TV come to one of our local races at Five Flags Speedway. It's a whole different experience when you can "feel" the power, smell the burning tires and the unmistakable scent of 93 octane in a high preformance racing engine.

I've found that while I can hardly stay awake through a NASCAR TV race anymore actually being at the track is much more thrilling. Even the bomber and sportsman classes in their grocery getters are a blast to watch.

Weather predictions are much more accurate then they used to be. It can never be certain due to the many variables but they can get pretty darned close.

I agree 100%. They are pretty darn close on their predictions. If we could just keep the "end of the world" hype in check untill it's threat is certain.

I worked there on weekends for years. Anytime there was a race I had to be there. I worked the beer stand and you get to see some strange things happen..!!
