Default Generator Suggestions

With Hurricane season upon us I think it may be time to pick up a generator.

What do you guys recommend?

Mainly used in emergency situations, only to power a fridge, 2 small freezers and a small ac window unit.

I'm thinking 5500-8000

I am willing to pay a little more if it is quieter than most.

Does anyone have any experience with the Black Max Honda at Sam's?

black max honda at sams did me well durring the power outages after the tornado outbreak apr 27 we were without power for 6 days. it ran 2 deep freezes and a side by side fridge as well as lcd tv and dish network box as well as a 5200 btu window unit. I have no complaints. in the small engine market honda is tops but most any of them will do well if you store it properly.... ie drain all fuel from carb. ect....

Whatever you buy, make sure its powered by a Honda. I have somewhere between 75-100 small engines and run nothing but Hondas
