Default Don't Panic

Don't panic! But use this current invest that looks like it could slow down and stall south of us and now has the potential to reach hurricane strength as the chance to go over your plans and supplies now!!! Better now with a little, tiny what if, than later!

Yeah, it's looking pretty wicked with a 40 kt south wind. That will push a bunch of water into the bays. Looks like I'll pull the boat from the boat house and raise the other way up. Move all the furniture we never use off the dock. Plus our downstairs is undergoing a reno so have to find a dry spot for that furniture too. Early start to the windy season!

Already doing that. And I don't buy water. Got plenty of free water and containers to put it in before a storm. I've never understood buying bottled water for a storm. No one can drink out of a cup

We get bottled water delivered to the house from Kentwood, my wife's choice, she loves that water.

So when "H" season starts, we just up our inventory.

During Ivan we had no water for 14 days. My 5 gallon bottles were running short, I had taken one to another part of town to fill with tap water.

Then Kentwood knocked on the door, and were there to deliver water, but could only exchange for empties, they could not leave extra bottles. So I now keep 30 gallons during the season, (instead of 15 gallon) knowing Kentwood will be along to refill us, if needed.
