Doesn’t look good for the Carolinas come Thursday or so.

There is nothing coming behind it. Isaac is to the south, and looks like it may be fizzling out south of the Dominican Republic. Helene looks like a fish storm. No credible forecasts put either of them going into the Carolinas.

This is going to be a bad one, as it will stall at land fall.

The stories of Andrew in 1992, of people in their bathrooms, with every mattress they own, stacked on top of them, for 16 Hours, while their kitchen cabinets were blown out the window, scares the heck out of me.

They have had counter flow traffic on I-26 for about 24 hours now.
I sure hope everyone runs away.

Frying Pan Ocean Cam powered by EXPLORE.org

location: 35 miles offshore from Cape Fear, North Carolina
best viewing hours: 6:15am - 8:00pm
time zone: Eastern Standard Time
Above water overlooking the Mid-Atlantic Ocean, this camera gives us a bird’s eye view of the ocean surrounding Frying Pan Tower. When weather moves in, you’ll see a swift change in the waves and want to watch the storm roll through. On other days, the sunrise, sunset, and expansive clouds on the horizon will be dramatic highlights to your day.
Groups travel to Frying Pan regularly for dive trips, volunteer restoration work, and vacation. Travel to the tower happens by boat or by helicopter, with the helicopters landing on the observation deck in view. How do people get to the observation deck from a boat? They are raised on an automated pulley system with a seat for the guest.

It looks like this year it is not a good idea to travel anywhere. The tiny virus has forced the world to stop all around the globe. We do not know yet what will be the outcome. The only positive thing is that nature will have a moment of rest from humanity. I am from https://dialcodes.co.uk/areacodes/01223 and only humans are punished. Animals and other living beings are enjoying it.
