Default Carolinas better be prepared

Doesn’t look good for the Carolinas come Thursday or so.

May get double slapped. By onshore there should be another right behind. IF that happens it will be a major disaster.

There is nothing coming behind it. Isaac is to the south, and looks like it may be fizzling out south of the Dominican Republic. Helene looks like a fish storm. No credible forecasts put either of them going into the Carolinas.

Way worse than Ivan.
Low country is gonna get hit hard..

Looks like track may have shifted slightly south. Expected to stall on or near shore. Wave heights of 83 feet recorded near center of Florence.

WEAR reporting that Florence may only be a 1 or 2 at landfall. Still tons of flooding though depending on the steering winds.

This is going to be a bad one, as it will stall at land fall.

The stories of Andrew in 1992, of people in their bathrooms, with every mattress they own, stacked on top of them, for 16 Hours, while their kitchen cabinets were blown out the window, scares the heck out of me.

They have had counter flow traffic on I-26 for about 24 hours now.
I sure hope everyone runs away.
