Default Any hear of the missing Frieghter lost in Joaqin

Prayers out for the crew and familys.
I don't know much about big ship movement, but I wonder if they accidentally got caught in the storm (moving too slow) or they thought they were big enough to sail right through it

I heard it was transporting cars and before they lost comms with the vessel they had said one row of cars broke loose and were going into the ocean. Dont know how true that is. Ive rocked out tropical storms and nor'easters on a ship before but I couldent imagine a cat 4 hurricane. I know for sure the Coast Guard suspended its search last night after covering 850 NM using a HC-130 and Jayhawk. The search is set to pick back up at first light this morning. Prayers to them and their familys.

When I google earth my house, my white truck is still in my driveway and I haven't owned it in 2-3 years.
Also up the road from me where the railroad hub is and has been for several years, it is still woods in the google earth image where there is a operating railroad hub.

Those google earth images from the google earth app are not accurate by any means. From what I've noticed.

Google Earth is not realtime imagery. it's a snapshot in time. Not to mention, even if they used the same satellites to get a realtime look the cloud cover would prevent it.

Google earth CAN take real time scans and the cloud cover has lifted from the bahamas area. And yes my home pictures are a couple years old. I have heard that the costs to get a real time scan is ridiculous. But satellites dont come cheap. Just a thought.

Everything I can find on it, says Google Earth cannot do live images. Now as for NASA and NSA and Military, I'm sure they could within a few hours to readjust their views, but I suspect they have better things to do with that technology.
