Default drilled a hole in my fuel tank

I accidentally drilled a hole in my fuel tank this afternoon. It is below deck plastic ( non metal). I have siphoned most of the fuel out.

Any suggestions regarding patching the hole..

Thanks,

Mark

Take the sending unit out and put a bolt with rubber washer into hole IF you can get hand inside for the nut to be put on.

Thank GOD it was plastic! You can still get static and friction from plastic but it's a lot more forgiving. :angel

Depending on the size of the hole maybe you could thread a lag bolt into the hole with some RTV sealer (the kind for fuel) on the threads. I would trust that on my boat if I did that.

Remember no glue will properly stick to the tank. The rubber gasket or sealer & screw would be the best repair. Make dang sure that the surface is clean & smooth !
