Default You better hope and pray this doesn’t happen to you.

Last night while getting gas in my Tundra, the starter went out. Towed it to the house and today spent all day on it and still don’t have it out. What a nightmare of a job. You have to go through the passenger wheel well, remove all kinds of heat shields, the manifold, the dipstick, etc. Book rate is 4-9 hours. It still isn’t done.

Don't the Tundras have GM's old 5.7 motor? If so you can get up underneath and replace it fairly easy.

Yeah looks like a 24" 3/8 extension with 2 swivels to get in there, standing on your head.

Yikes spooney. I love my yotas, have had 3 including a tundra and currently in a 4Runner. Normally you donít have to do anything to them besides changing the oil.

I hate not having space to work on stuff though. My next truck will be one of these, minus the nice paint job...

That's the best way to change almost all of the tundras

That really sucks Spooney. I sure hope you got some Jack stands under that thing ! I know several people that have met their maker while working under a vehicle.

Are those late 70's body styles on the Fords?
