Considering I live pretty close to the stadium, I decided to go count full sets of teeth while drinking my face off yesterday. Jim, come on man, you seriously didn't know that turnovers in OT are worthless unless returned for a score? It is not a stupid rule. It's the same rule on 2 Point Conversions. It's a rule, deal with it. Best line of the day, "We'll see you in DECEMBER!!!" - Typical Gator fan that has no clue about college football. I asked him if he meant November, and he angrily replied, "NO! DECEMBER!"

Default Gators / Dawgs

It has been 8 years, and yes, Gus Scott intercepted Shockley who was substituting for Greene at the time.
Thus far, I have not heard of Rainey having ANY disciplinary issues while at U.F.. If true, I would have to take that into consideration as it pertains to his situation.
( Heck, at least he didn't get suspended for failing to make his court date appearance like the Georgia player)
When I checked the offensive stats late in the 4th quarter, both teams were equal. It was a very good contest.

QUOTE=tld15uga;583316]Wouldn't go quite that far. First, Gus Scott didn't intercept David Greene, he intercepted DJ Shockley after Greene led a drive down the field (dumb call by Richt).
Secondly, most Gator fans here in Jax are of the opinion that Meyer sold his soul for a win by bringing back "Time to die" Rainey for this game. Respect for women being the "core value of the team," apparently went out the window with the Homecoming loss. I give all the credit in the world to the Gators for playing a great game, with the exception of Rainey and Meyer.

Anyways, Congrats to (all but two of) the Gators.[/QUOTE]

Rainey was arrested for being a stalker. He was stalking an ex-girlfriend. The final straw was a text to her that said "time to die".

Fortunately or unfortunately she declined to press charges.

Did somebody pay her? I dunno.

Since charges were dropped he was suspended for 5 games.

Fair, I dunno. Not sure what the right answer is in a case like this.

But certainly there are far too many problems at UF.

So, 'bama, lsu, and miss state... which one is the HS jv team?

The GATORS are decent at best, but a decent FLORIDA will give the BEST ACC team a run for the money... much less fsu. After all, it's a HOME game for the GATORS at Ron Zook Field!

We'll see.

Just for the record the charges against Rainey weren't dropped. Rainey lawyered up and had them reduced from a third degree felony to a misdemeanor. Another misconception about this case is that he only sent one text. He sent several, including one warning her "Don't fall asleep tonight..." followed by the infamous "Time to die, B****." This, of course, was shortly after Meyer publicly stated that respect for women was a "core value of this team." Comparing this to not paying a traffic ticket is laughable.
When Meyer ran down the sideline cheering Rainey's touchdown like a giddy schoolgirl, he sacrificed any shred of integrity he ever had. I wonder how he would've felt had one of his daughters been the target of those texts. Winning a game is all that matters to C.U.M., even at the expense of the honor of the program.
